escesc
Hi all, We have a wireless router and an ADSL2+ connection. My own PC is connected to the router by ethernet and I get download speeds of more than 1Mb/s most of the time. One of my housemates who connects wirelessly gets similar speeds. The problem lies with my other housemates PC. He also connects via ethernet (our PCs are in the same room), but as of a couple of weeks ago his download speeds never rise above about 15kb/s. As a test we downloaded the same file via the same torrent. We were connected to the same number of seeds, and my comp was downloading at > 1Mb/s, but his stayed < 10kb/s. He runs the same version of Windows as me (7 Home Premium) with the same anti-virus software and the same version of uTorrent. We've tried re-installing uTorrent, system restoring to when it seemed to be working fine, and as far as we can tell all of the firewall/port settings are the same on both of our systems. We even uninstalled his anti-virus software to see if it made a difference, but nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas? I'm fresh out! Any help would be greatly appreciated
DreadWingKnight
Are you both trying to download at the same time?
