Zimlick
Hi,This may be a stupid question, but I'm kind of new to torrents.Lately I've been looking for a certain torrent of some older software. I've found the torrents I'm looking for, and it is usually about 2 years old, and will say, for example, 100 seeders. So I download it, and open it in uTorrent. But in uTorrent, it will show "downloading", but it will show 0 seeds, and therefore no downloading happens. This has happened to me over and over. So the question is, are the torrent sites showing that there were 100 seeders 2 years ago, so that now maybe there are 0? Or does the seeder stat on torrent sites show the current number of seeders? If the latter is true, then why is uTorrent showing 0 seeders when the torrent site showed 100?Thanks for any help. I'm using uTorrent 1.8.4, which is the latest version my OS can use. DreadWingKnight
Number of seeds on its own doesn't actually affect your ability to download. Sometimes the number of seeds shown on the website was accurate at one time. Sometimes the seeds are there, but you have something in your setup blocking. Zimlick
OK, thanks DWK. I've downloaded other things, so I'm guessing it's the age of the programs.
