Light still yellow

i need help here,my light is still yellow,i dont have a router but i have a switch,made by D-link DES-1005D.what can i do to get green light.my firewall is PC-cillin Internet Security 2006.thanks

Your ADSL/Cable modem may contain a firewall or mini-router inside it that needs to be configured.

GOOGLE up some info on the exact make and model, or visit the maker's website (not your ISP's) to find out more about it.

I just change my anti virus to zonealarm,i have follow a steup from here for zonealarm,but the light is still yellow.if anybody have another setup for zonealarm pls share it with me..thanks

I think i know why the light stayed yellow.i should check it before.on my computer i have a wireless network to a laptop,so this program is trying to map a to my network connection.this is what i found in the logger (Unable to map UPnP port to 192.168.0.1:32459) that address is for the wireless connection.how can get this utorrent to map it on my orignal ip address...

zonealarm isn't an antivirus, it's a firewall, and a crappy one at that.

oh i see,but i have zonealrm with anti virus.firewall and anti virus together.so i dont know what you talking about.check it out from their webpage and see if im lying or not.so do you have any help for me on this thing im trying to setup or are you just going to sit there and tell me,what is an anti virus or a firewall?

Uninstall them both.

With a 192.168.x.x you have a router, rendering any software firewall about 90% useless.

my ip address is not that address,that address is for my network connection that i setup with my laptop.so how can i get utorrent to connect to my real ip address,instead of connecting to my wireless network?

µtorrent has nothing "to map to". UPnP works not very wll with all routers.

There's a bind-to-ip options in µTorrent, so you can "tie" µTorrent to your internet link instead of your laptop.

They're under ADVANCED settings:

net.bind_ip

and

net.outgoing_ip

Try using them.
