kikker Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Here's the symptom. When initiating a few torrents, the connection between the computer and PC becomes bogged down, sometimes the connection drops altogether. After a while the connection stabilizes after reaching max download speed. I've disabled DHT and limited the global connections to 100. Speeds remain at 100%, and the connections at the outset seem better. However, out of curiosity, when monitoring port usage at the router, I notice that when uTorrent is running, I see around 1500 ports in usage, and without uTorrent, around 300 or so. Shouldn't the ratio between global connections (limited to 100) and port usage when uTorrent is active be closer to 1:1 after some time?
DreadWingKnight Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Sounds like your router isn't playing nice with connection tracking.
