dragonblaster
I'm currently running uTorrent version 3.4.1 and using a VPN for anonymity.Prior to using the VPN I could download just fine but now I'm receiving an invalid tracker URL in the column of EVERY tracker listed and 0% download speed/peer connection.Whats the deal? DreadWingKnight
Either the VPN is breaking stuff or you're using torrents that don't actually have valid addresses in them.
dragonblaster
Could you please expound on the wonderfully worded "breaking stuff" so that I may understand what exactly might be the problem?I don't think it's the latter because I've tried multiple torrents from different places. DreadWingKnight
They are mangling the packets that contain the .torrent files, changing their contents without consent.
dragonblaster
Ah. Any idea how I could resolve the issue, kind admin?
DreadWingKnight
Does the problem persist when you obtain the .torrent files without using the vpn?
dragonblaster
Yes. The status of the trackers now says "connection timed out" and its waiting to log into DHT. duh fuh?A more comprehensive breakdown shows:[DHT] Waiting For Announce[local peer discovery] Working[peer exchange] Working Tracker 1: connection timed outTracker 2: connection timed outTracker 3: connection timed outAnd at the bottom it says DHT: waiting to log inHALP
DreadWingKnight
Internet security software blocking traffic most likely.
dragonblaster
Hmm. Well that seems a bit strange because I've whitelisted my utorrent client manually to bypass the firewall.
