Torrents default to Labels>hidden and I get "Error: can't open .torrent file"

As of yesterday, every time I open a torrent it doesn't do the confirmation and allow me to change the file directory, and has been defaulting the location to Labels>Hidden. It also has starting giving me the error. I did some googling and found out a registry cleaning should fix the error, and tried that, and I'm still getting the error.

 

I am running Windows 8 64 bit with uTorrent v 3.4.1

I am having the exact same issue. Both torrent links directly and magnet links do the same thing. This sucks.

You should download the newest Stable version of uTorrent 3.4.2 Stable Build 32354., which you can get right here: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete/os/win/track/stable

You have to go into Preference and type your own labels. I usually use labels where I get the torrents from.
