Seeking good VPN

Hi everyone,

I had issues with the VPN I was using, & so now I'm seeking a new one.

One that works well with utorrent & TPB, has a kill switch ONLY for utorrnet, not for the whole computer, & isn't too expensive.

And also doesn't keep logs.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I can't remember the reason, but I came to conclusion that wouldn't work for me.

Besides needing good speeds, I need an add-on that will shut down utorrent if the VPN stops working otherwise I'm still at risk.

Thanks

Private Internet Access.com.

They don't keep logs. They have a kill switch just for uTorrent. $33 for a year subscription. But they aren't much help if you need it and the forum isn't used a lot.

I looked into them & had discounted them b/c their kill switch shuts EVERYTHING down, not just utorrent.

Now that I know their cs sucks, then for sure I won't go with them.

I had issues with the last 2 VPNs. The first I never used b/c they only had a German IP & they refused to refund me saying I used it when I hadn't. They are a rip off & refused to answer all my e-mails, they just ignored me.

Then with Liquid VPN I was with them for several months. There were always issues when it came time to update. And then problems with their VPN not reconnecting when I plugged my laptop back in. They also wouldn't come onto my computer & fix it. They did the first few times, then tried to get me to fix their issues for them which I would have been happy to do if it was something simple, but it never was. Then the last time they strung me along for 7 hours giving me incomplete instructions telling me they would come onto my computer when Dave was finished with another customer. In the end they went to sleep leaving me stranded & my VPN hadn't been working for 48 hours.

I don't like my time being wasted. Not even an apology the next morning so I said I've had enough of this BS, I'm switching. They said they'd refund the payment from a day earlier & they never did so I had to get Pay Pal involved.

Finding a VPN with good customer service is hard. Pure VPN has good service, but they keep some logs & will out you so I didn't go with them. I FINALLY went with a Swedish company. I hope this is it although they said their VPN shuts down the Internet (I guess I have to put up with that part) & I'm not seeing that happen so I wrote them yesterday & hope to get a response tomorrow.

Yeh I've been having nothing but problems with these companies.

Even once they are nice & answer questions, then I start using their service & I have nothing but problems. I waste more time dealing with their terrible software then enjoying life.

I already stated which VPN I was using, didn't you read what I wrote?

I ended up going with Mullvad & I have to fire them too :(

Their VPN keeps knocking me offline <sigh>

Another one where I spend way too much time dealing with their software then working or enjoying life.

BTGuard ignored me when I wrote to them so no, they are out.

TORGuard I spoke to the guy & when I found out they are in Panama I said no way. I lived in Panama for almost 3 years. I wouldn't trust anyone who's there. He was rude in the end by not even saying goodbye, & his responses were all over the place plus conflicting one another, when he e-mailed me back, there was no text in the e-mail.

If a company isn't run properly & they have poor or no customer service, they don't get my business.

Thanks anyway

Private Internet Access.com.

Didn't you read what I wrote? LOL

Seriously, I haven't had any trouble with them and they have answered every question I posted to them.

I'm really happy with them.

I'm confused, you never posted before, so how could I have read what you wrote?

I just started with Private Internet Access actually yesterday.

While things didn't go well after I paid (no live chat & no response to my ticket & I thought they were open 24/7), I finally got someone on live chat. While he didn't understand the issues I was having, the supervisor did & we got it all sorted out.

So far it hasn't disconnected me once on its own like Mullvad did ALL the time, & while the speeds aren't great great (I am getting 15 down even though my regular speed is 60), at least it's better then Mullvad.

I hope I don't have to contact support often at all & that when I do, I'm helped.

Oh & their interface is nice & easy to use. I was impressed by that.

HTH someone else.

I have been using VPN with utorrent for more than a year. Normally not all VPN providers are torrent friendly only few of them are suitable for torrent and works good. Expressvpn, ipvanish and btguard are good vpn services for torrent. And you will not find any issues while downloading. Check out some of those top VPN services for torrenting and p2p filesharing

I tried PIA and their proxy service does not work with uTorrent, there are many complaints about it. I ended up using PureVPN because of its software. It lets you split tunnel so you can force only uTorrent to go through the VPN service. Torrent IP check shows the software works as well. Got full speed with torrents too so they may be worth trying if you are still dissatisfied.

Actually I really like PIA, although in the last day or so it's been going off & on, but compared to ALL the other VPNs I tried, this is by far the best.

I know of Pure VPN from years ago when I used them for something that had nothing to do with utorrent & when I contacted them in July to ask them a slew of questions, they told me they will divulge our identities to the authorities.

So, if you want to take that chance, that's your choice, but I sure as hell would never do that.

Totally agree on pia. It's been great for me. Also I haven't had any problem with torrents and us servers, with all of the options (also having 5 devices connected at the same time).
