seeding torrents damages HDD?

It causes less damage than the people trying to cache large amounts of downloads in RAM which lets the hard drive spin down and up constantly.

A hard drive that is going full speed all the time will typically die AFTER one that attempts to save power by caching lots of activity that allows the drive to spin down.

Thank you!
