uTzap
i D/L'ed a torrent earlier with about 500 files inside it. i would say i selected "dont download" on about 400 of the files or so. the problem is, when i came back later and was checking out my "files" tab, to my suprise it still D/L'ed about 20 of them labeled "skip".is this normal behaviour, or some kind of bug?for the record, i created my "don't download" list BEFORE i started the torrent. so these are not files that were stopped partially the way through.i just went through & checked my download directory & none of those downloaded "skip" files were there. so even though uTorrent shows it D/L'ed them, it actually didnt. so im assuming its just a bug? YuRi
it could just be that the files you did not want were in the piece file with the one you wanted. if thats the case it will download the whole piece and use the partfile to store the uneeded parts. Firon
µTorrent must download and save the entire piece, and skipped files often shared pieces with unskipped ones. The shared chunks for skipped files are stored in the partfile.
