Superseed on->availibilty

Before i can tell u why, i need to know a couple of things.

1. Did u upload the torrent on a site and were u the only one who started seeding and nobody had downloaded anything?

2. Did u start seeding this torrent with superseed coz there were no seeders and only downloaders?

If ur answer is 1, then there is something wrong.

If ur answer is 2, the downloaders might have together already accumulated a certain number of pieces among themselves when u came in to reseed the torrent. Coz u were not the only one who seeded this torrent. If thats the case, then utorrent is showing accurately

Let me know which case it is.

Iám the initial seeder of that torrent, this is NO reseed or anything else. This torrent is a "fresh" one. As is started superseeding no peer had ANY of the parts from this torrent. As i said: brandnew torrent. Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm not an expert on Super Seeding ... but from what i've understood from various sites, super seeding is when you don't report yourself as a seeder, but as a leech releasing the pieces in incremental order, or something. And since you report as a leecher, with 100%, you become the 1.0 in availability.

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, or I misunderstood.

Exactly! That's what I was trying to say :P

In the old days, a superseeder *didn't* show himself as 100 percent but this caused problems because leechers joining the swarm would see "no seeder" and either pullout as they thought they would never complete or never start the torrent at all.

okay okay. no problem. BUT wouldn´t it be "more correct" if my client shows for example "0.xxx" as availabilty ? I understand that the display shown above in my snapshot IS NO BUG....

No, that number is right. Availability = number of copies of each piece available in the swarm. Because there is 1 seeder, the availability is automatically 1 full copy. The decimal (1.xxx) shows the percentage of pieces that available MORE than 1 time. In other words, both the seed and at least 1 other peer have a copy of the same piece.

I hope that makes sense.
