Walkier Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I know the title sounds absurd but that's what I've noticed happening. So I have been leaving some files to seed and their availability goes above 1.0 which I thought was normal. However, when I check the files that I'm seeding I noticed it has grown larger than the original file size (from like 37GB to 40GB). This stays the same even if I close utorrent. I want to continue seeding but I don't want to fill my hard disk with unknown GBs of data? Does anyone know why this is happening?
DreadWingKnight Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Is it a lot of small files or a few big files? Files on disk take up more space if they're smaller than an allocation unit (cluster, whatever you want to call it) because they take up the whole unit minimum.
Walkier Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Posted September 16, 2014 They are all big folders (10 to 30 GB) with multiple (10 to 20) video files (250 MB to 1 GB) in them. Each of these video files have grown a bit too. Although I don't really get your explanation but thanks anyway for replying.
