So I have been leaving some files to seed and their availability goes above 1.0 which I thought was normal. However, when I check the files that I'm seeding I noticed it has grown larger than the original file size (from like 37GB to 40GB). This stays the same even if I close utorrent. I want to continue seeding but I don't want to fill my hard disk with unknown GBs of data? Does anyone know why this is happening? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Files on disk take up more space if they're smaller than an allocation unit (cluster, whatever you want to call it) because they take up the whole unit minimum. Walkier Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 They are all big folders (10 to 30 GB) with multiple (10 to 20) video files (250 MB to 1 GB) in them.
