MoJo Posted June 3, 2006 Report Share Posted June 3, 2006 Firon I am not firewalled. My uPnP is enabled and running WinXP, it didn't work in version 460 and it doesn't work in version 462.False alarm guys, it seems my router was at fault. Once I enable uPnp, I must restart it ... this way it works properly now. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
abe Posted June 4, 2006 Report Share Posted June 4, 2006 How do you guys get so much info?All I get is [14:00:58] Unable to map UPnP Port.And I have verbose enabled.It is not mapping the port, and it worked in 460 and earlier versions. (on XP)I'm using a Linux router with a upnp daemon called Linux-IGD; http://linux-igd.sourceforge.net/abe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ffjason Posted June 4, 2006 Report Share Posted June 4, 2006 Well i originally posted the code i got but then i realised that you said " make sure the port is not already forwarded ". So if it is then shall i turn off UPnP? I just turned it on cause it was recommended & is usually set by default!Jason Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ultima Posted June 4, 2006 Report Share Posted June 4, 2006 Try accessing http://ROUTER.IP/dynsvc/WANIPConnection:1.xml from your browser (where ROUTER.IP is your router's IP address) and pasting the stuff here if you can.Edit: Yeah, you shouldn't forward manually if you want to test UPnP. Remove the manual forward I guess, assuming you want to help us test UPnP ;P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
radicand Posted June 4, 2006 Report Share Posted June 4, 2006 I've got a slightly different issue. I have two IP addresses on this PC, but uTorrent is choosing the wrong one. I would think uTorrent could know which to use, based on the subnet it's using for UPNP, but it seems the last one configured is what gets used. I'm using DD-WRT v23SP1 on a WRT54GL (with UPNP on). Below is the Logger:[16:12:00] Connecting to http://192.168.1.1:5431/dyndev/uuid:0014-bfba-6f7200a80c00[16:12:00] 0: urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1[16:12:00] 1: /uuid:0014-bfba-6f7202100c00/WANIPConnection:1[16:12:00] 2: /uuid:0014-bfba-6f7202100c00/WANIPConnection:1[16:12:00] 3: /dynsvc/WANIPConnection:1.xml[16:12:00] 4: [16:12:00] 5: http://192.168.1.1:5431[16:12:00] UPnP: Discovered new device: http://192.168.1.1:5431/uuid:0014-bfba-6f7202100c00/WANIPConnection:1[16:12:00] Connecting to http://192.168.1.112:1083/[16:12:00] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"><NewRemoteHost></NewRemoteHost><NewExternalPort>5210</NewExternalPort><NewProtocol>UDP</NewProtocol><NewInternalPort>5210</NewInternalPort><NewInternalClient>192.168.1.10</NewInternalClient><NewEnabled>1</NewEnabled><NewPortMappingDescription>Hamachi</NewPortMappingDescription><NewLeaseDuration>0</NewLeaseDuration></m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[16:12:00] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"><NewRemoteHost></NewRemoteHost><NewExternalPort>5211</NewExternalPort><NewProtocol>TCP</NewProtocol><NewInternalPort>5211</NewInternalPort><NewInternalClient>192.168.1.10</NewInternalClient><NewEnabled>1</NewEnabled><NewPortMappingDescription>Hamachi</NewPortMappingDescription><NewLeaseDuration>0</NewLeaseDuration></m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[16:12:00] Didn't find any XML information![16:12:00] <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <s:Body> <s:Fault> <faultcode>s:Client</faultcode> <faultstring>UPnPError</faultstring> <detail> <UPnPError xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:control-1-0"> <errorCode>713</errorCode> <errorDescription>SpecifiedArrayIndexInvalid</errorDescription> </UPnPError> </detail> </s:Fault> </s:Body></s:Envelope>[16:12:01] Connecting to http://192.168.1.114:2869/upnphost/udhisapi.dll?content=uuid:986fe2e7-4dc9-4d1b-b623-702ffd5eff58[16:12:01] Didn't find any XML information![16:12:02] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:AddPortMappingResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"></m:AddPortMappingResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[16:12:02] UPnP: Mapped port 33335 -> 5.15.36.43:33335 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Firon Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 8, 2006 I would assume that a) Linux-IGD isn't responding to the UPnP UDP discovery properly/at all or the discovery isn't getting there for some reason Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Why is that? Is it not even trying to connect?/abe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Firon Posted June 9, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 9, 2006 Previous versions used the Windows XP UPnP Framework.Presumably when it sent out the UPnP discovery, it got no response whatsoever or the discovery never arrived in the first place. Maybe you can capture the packets or something on the router and see what happened? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
