Firon Posted June 10, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 10, 2006 You might need to reboot the router to actually clear the forward. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Callifo Posted June 10, 2006 Report Share Posted June 10, 2006 Still getting the same thing as last time with 463Whats up with those boxes? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
osm0sis Posted June 10, 2006 Report Share Posted June 10, 2006 @Callifo: they're linebreaks. they're why the log looks all spaced out when people copy/paste it.@Firon: ahh, i had my doubts there but you were right. I actually had to delete the entries AND THEN reboot the router for it to finally kick in. restarting µTorrent also might've made a difference, not sure. either way, it works now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I find that even with this long msg it gives me on startup that UPnP still enables itself.[23:43:18] Connecting to http://192.168.1.1:5431/dyndev/uuid:000f-664e-f058000090dc[23:43:18] 0: urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1[23:43:18] 1: /uuid:000f-664e-f058020090dc/WANIPConnection:1[23:43:18] 2: /uuid:000f-664e-f058020090dc/WANIPConnection:1[23:43:18] 3: /dynsvc/WANIPConnection:1.xml[23:43:18] 4: [23:43:18] 5: [23:43:18] UPnP: Discovered new device: http://192.168.1.1:5431/uuid:000f-664e-f058020090dc/WANIPConnection:1[23:43:18] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"><NewRemoteHost></NewRemoteHost><NewExternalPort>40583</NewExternalPort><NewProtocol>TCP</NewProtocol><NewInternalPort>40583</NewInternalPort><NewInternalClient>192.168.1.110</NewInternalClient><NewEnabled>1</NewEnabled><NewPortMappingDescription>uTorrent</NewPortMappingDescription><NewLeaseDuration>0</NewLeaseDuration></m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[23:43:18] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"><NewRemoteHost></NewRemoteHost><NewExternalPort>60762</NewExternalPort><NewProtocol>TCP</NewProtocol><NewInternalPort>60762</NewInternalPort><NewInternalClient>192.168.1.110</NewInternalClient><NewEnabled>1</NewEnabled><NewPortMappingDescription>uTorrent</NewPortMappingDescription><NewLeaseDuration>0</NewLeaseDuration></m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[23:43:18] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"><NewRemoteHost></NewRemoteHost><NewExternalPort>54668</NewExternalPort><NewProtocol>TCP</NewProtocol><NewInternalPort>54668</NewInternalPort><NewInternalClient>192.168.1.110</NewInternalClient><NewEnabled>1</NewEnabled><NewPortMappingDescription>uTorrent</NewPortMappingDescription><NewLeaseDuration>0</NewLeaseDuration></m:GetGenericPortMappingEntryResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[23:43:19] <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"> <s:Body> <s:Fault> <faultcode>s:Client</faultcode> <faultstring>UPnPError</faultstring> <detail> <UPnPError xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:control-1-0"> <errorCode>713</errorCode> <errorDescription>SpecifiedArrayIndexInvalid</errorDescription> </UPnPError> </detail> </s:Fault> </s:Body></s:Envelope>[23:43:19] <?xml version="1.0"?><s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/"><s:Body><m:AddPortMappingResponse xmlns:m="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:WANIPConnection:1"></m:AddPortMappingResponse></s:Body></s:Envelope>[23:43:19] UPnP: Mapped port 23448 -> 192.168.1.116:23448 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AmyGrrl Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 Well... The only firewall I use is the one included with WinXP SP2 and the one on my router is enabled...I've just noticed that every 10 minutes it tries to re-open the port. I can post a log of that if you want... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
osm0sis Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 that's normal too. it does that because on some routers it's required to refresh like that, though it'll probably be cleaned up to look at in future builds. everything is working as expected for you though, so nothing to worry about. schnurlos Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 Port forwarding is the better way. If you have access to your router (in your case), forward a port manually (in utorrent settings, and in your router settings too).Try this! WBonner Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 I'd rather use UPnP than port forwarding, because I'm house sitting, and don't want to mess with the router very much.When I'm at home I use manually forwarded port information. WBonner Posted June 13, 2006 Report Share Posted June 13, 2006 I've edited this so that all of my information is in a single post.When I use 1.5 connected to my Netgear router using UPnP it maps the port correctly. When I unload 1.5 and load 1.5.1 build 463 the logger says unable to map UPnP port.I'm using a Netgear MR814v2 if it makes any difference.I realized that the upnp messages were retrying every 10 minutes or so.. here's a log output. It created the extra blank lines in the log file.[13:29:42] 69.211.50.89 : [KTorrent/1200 ]: Send Keepalive[13:29:46] 69.211.50.89 : [KTorrent/1200 ]: Sending 4 bytes of aggregated data[13:30:03] Darnell 0216 Posted June 14, 2006 Report Share Posted June 14, 2006 Also, when upgrading builds, ensure your firewall isn't causing problems. Some firewalls don't like when you upgrade builds, so you have to remove the exceptions/rules and re-add them.Kerio notifies the user during install/run of an exe. The newer builds (462/463) were detected as changed/updated and I allowed them access when asked. I had to downgrade µT back to 460. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
OCedHrt Posted June 14, 2006 Report Share Posted June 14, 2006 On a different note, does UPnP work in Azureus for any of you?Azureus' UPNP does not work with every router. Neither does the UPNP from bittornado. From my experiences with a multitude of Linksys, Netgear, D-Link routers, I attributed this to manufacturer's not strictly following the specifications. Windows' UPNP framework has always worked for me regardless of which router as long as it was enabled properly in the OS. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
