b3193 Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 uTorrent is a tool for me to search for legal items to download to my PC. My main interest is television (missed shows due to my own stupidity or a failing recording device). So I rarely need to use uTorrent for my main objective. (now that you know where I am coming from - also note that I am NOT super techy savvy)1. is the one thread I read true - we don't need to pay for the use (that one time fee)?2. I have a friend in Italy (I am in the states) that missed a show she meant to tape - can I find a show that aired in Italy on here and download it?Those are it for now - thanks!
Dark Shroud Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 µTorrent is compleatly free. Get it for free here: http://www.utorrent.com/download.phpNow you can find almost anything through Bittorrent, as long as someone is shareing it. Think of it this way, you listen to the radio, if you want to hear a song from a station they have to play that song for you to hear it. And if you want to hear the whole song they have to play the whole song.So look here www.torrentz.com, for the tv show you want. Make sure it has seeds(people with a whole copy) so you can download all of it. You download the .torrent file then you open that .torrent file in µTorrent.
Firon Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Downloading TV shows is not exactly legal in most countries, so don't ask here about specifics. You do it at your own risk (which is low, but still). Use the search feature at the top right of µTorrent to find what you need. And if you paid for µTorrent, then you were scammed, and you should call your credit card company to get a refund.
