How do I set the upload max amount?

I'm a Newbie still in the fetal stage and I need someone to tell me the recommended setting for the uploading limit. My uploading seems to go on for days with no limit to the amount.

 

If I download a package of around 1.5GB, what should I limit the upload to, and how do I do this?

Since you gave no version what your using how would you expect others to know where to tell you to look at to do this settings? Most time you go to preferences then bandwidth and that should be where you can limit uploading. What do you mean "go on for day with no limit to the amount"? If you upload it will keep uploading until you exit ut that how it works.
