I installed it on a fresh reinstall of WIndows 8.1 and it seemed to work fine. When I restarted my computer and updated Windows, this program stopped working. When I openeed it, it closes almost immediately. I know there are threads on this topic already, but I haven't seen this other issue addressed. The other issue is that I can't even uninstall the program.

 

I know that the devs don't support earlier versions of the program, but if it fixes the problem in the short term, why not post earlier versiions with the caviate of "use at your own risk". This is a free program that I really don't think people are going to sue if doesn't work as intended.

 

When you fix the problems, we will all be happy to download the new fixed version. I am pulling my hair out over these constant computer problems.

I haven't tried any versions older than a few months back, but switching to another version only worked for me temporarily. I could actually run the program and add torrents- once.

 

I saw there was a new version yesterday, so I downloaded it. Same problem. I opened uTorrent, then it goes away.

EDIT: I think my problem is solved! I used HT! to remove the entries in bold. Now utorrent works fine. I felt I should remove these because, in addition to uTorrent not working, I was getting an appcrash message 2 or 3 times a day about iexplorer. I don't even use IE as a browser, so what the hell was going on?
