nfl2k22
Hello everyone. I remember reading an article a few months back explaining how it's possible to integrate the torrent protocol into the Opera browser. I have 9 Beta 2 installed and I would like to know if the technology exists to integrate utorrent into my Opera installation? What about other torrent front end apps? Thanks! MagusG
First make sure utorrent is your default torrent client. Then go to tools > preferences > advanced > downloads. Type tor into the box and click edit. Choose open with default application and make sure utorrent is listed in the box. Then go to utorrent and choose options > preferences > folders and check the box for "store .torrent files in" and specify the path where you want the torrent files stored. Hope this helps. Alpha-Toxic
In Opera 9 there is support for bittorrent protocol. Just open a .torrent file with Opera and it will automaticaly start downloading it.If I understand correctly what you want, you can't do what you want. The bittorrent clients are not just different "frontends", they are completely different implementations of the BT protocol. All you can do for the integration is what MagusG said above. nfl2k22
I see, so I have the choice of opening a .torrent with a separate application, or by default I can elect to keep the .torrents contained within my browser. Thanks.
