Why is uTorrent keeping a copy of all my torrent files and not deleting them when selected?

uTorrent 1.8.6.

Copies of torrent files are being kept in ~/Library/Application Support/uTorrent/

Despite selecting the option to delete the torrent file on torrent removal uTorrent is still keeping track and not getting rid of them. Why?
