wondermouse
If I only want to d/l part of a torrent, I normally mark the files I don't want as don't download which sets their status to skip. However in the last couple of versions (currently on 3.4.2) it ignores this setting and downloads the files anyway, whether I want them or not. This is very irritating. I remember this being reported before some time ago from someone else. Any chance of a diagnosis?

DreadWingKnight
what's the piece size of the torrent?

DreadWingKnight
With that, I can see, depending on the piece order of the torrent, many files under 8mbyte being downloaded because they're adjacent to files you've selected to download in the torrent. Enable the "First Piece" column and sort by it.
wondermouse
I know that sometimes pieces overlap. However it downloads every single piece even those that have nothing to do with the files I want. The example I uploaded is 4.27gb in total. I only selected about 700mb in files, but it downloaded the whole thing, even where there was no overlap at all. (the first 26 pieces didn't overlap and were set to skip for example.)
