rockofclay
Hi there, I am currently in the process of setting up QOS for uTorrent, and it seems that uTorrent is using other ports as well as the one I have set (45161). My router is reporting the open connection, and when I do:netstat -a -n -o | find "(portnumber in question)" it comes up with uTorrents PID. What's going on? It seems to be a lot of traffic, the same order of magnitude as the correct port. It seems the port will randomly change (it could be that it changes every time utorrent opens). Randomize port on each start is NOT set, and there are plenty of connections from/to the correctly set port as well.
DreadWingKnight
Outbound connections originate from a different port than your listen port.
rockofclay
Is there a way to force the outbound connections to use a specific port? Or any other way to identify the traffic for qos for gargoyle?
DreadWingKnight
You can restrict the outbound range in advanced preferences, but windows likes ignoring that.
