Green check mark but can't download torrent with more than 1000 seeds

I have been using utorrent on and off for a few years now, definitely not an expert but I usually manage and get good speeds. like I said I'm no expert so I used the settings.dat file found at:

http://forum.utorrent.com/topic/60691-utorrent-v2x3x-best-practice-tips/

Until recently that had been working great for me but suddenly yesterday I began having very confusing connection problems; I add a torrent, which the website I obtained it from stated it had more than 1000 seeders but when i add it says seeds: 0(0) peers: 0(13). If i click properties of the torrent and paste the trackers from the general tab into the web seeds section on the advanced tab immediately it changes to seeds: 5(5) peers: 0(13). I have the green check mark in the corner most of the time and when I run the connection test I get the results upload 943 kbit/s and download 6.1 mbits/s and it says my port is open and network configured correctly, although sometimes (this is happening now but it doesn't affect whether or not I can download the torrent) it will say data read error server closed the connection (10054) or sometimes lookup error no such host is knock or server does not support this client and it also says my port is not open but I can still download, this seems to change on its own no matter what settings I change so I can't figure out what is causing the connection issues. I checked the log tab and I was seeing some error messages like unable to bind UPnP to port but I looked in the faq on the utorrent site and it says you can ignore this as long as you have the green check mark which I do but no connection.

Can anyone give me some insight into this problem??

Or some other options for troubleshooting?? I looked at the speed issues thread by Ultima but I and followed the common procedures but I didn't know which part of the SLOW/INTERRUPTED INTERNET CONNECTION OR OFFLINE TRACKERS applied to my problem

these are the errors I've been getting in the Logger tab:

If i click properties of the torrent and paste the trackers from the general tab into the web seeds section

Trackers aren't webseeds. Don't do this. It will NOT help you get the torrent to download.

Based on the information you've provided, either something in your setup is blocking your peer connections or the sites you're using are lying about the number of seeds on the torrent.

Stop all your torrents (not pause) and try a torrent from http://www.slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php

okay thanks for the correction, not something I do normally but it was suggested on another website.

I stopped my other torrent I downloaded the slackware 14.1 iso torrent and added it and it says connection to 0.0% seeds: 0(0) peers: 0(1) under trackers it says DHT working seed0 peers1 http://tracker2.transamrit.net:8082/announce is stuck on updating.

after that I trieed restarting utorrent. now the slackware iso has seeds: 25(57) peers: 10(79) but it is only downloading at between 0.1 - 0.3 kb/s.

When I run the connection test I get the results upload: 681kb/s and download: 2.6mb/s and it says ports are forwarded correctly both with green checks.

but still its not downloading really, eta 1y21w

okay I reset the winsock and restarted my computer. When I started utorrent I have about the same numbers of seeders but at first it downloads between 0.1 and 1kb/s eta is about 16 weeks but now it is the same .3 or less.

network and bandwidth test both still working properly

anything else to try?

After messing around a bit more last night I found I can download the slackware torrent on my phone fine and I tried to re download one of the last successful torrents i had downloaded and that worked too on my phone. so I added the torrent that had been giving me issues in the first place and but it just says fetching torrent info forever and never connects to any seeds. After this I tried to download the torrent that I had just successfully downloaded on my phone but this time on my pc that had been malfunctioning. Booted up utorrent and the slack ware is still getting between 0.1 - 0.3kb/s (on my phone in the same moment on the same wifi connection it was +750kb/s) then I added the successful test torrent and it does the same thing, connects to a few seeds but will only get 0.1 - 0.3 kb/s. Hopefully this can provide more information to that actual problem?

Does anyone know whats going on??
