Drastic Speed differences

I have a quick question about the speeds im getting with downloading. For the past month the highest speed i have hit with any torrents is about 200KB/sec, as a max not an average. However tonight after going through the forum, i saw a suggestion to check the speed you get with downloading this torrent http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/. I tried that out and I maxed out at 845KB/sec, with the average being around 830KB/sec. Are the sub 200KB/sec speeds due to bad torrents/seeds/peers? Or is there some other reason?

Generally it's because most torrents just aren't fast. All you can do is get a green light, use the speed guide properly, and hope for the best.
