1.5.1 build 463 sometimes take 100% cpu

To describe:

When playing AVI file (normaly take 30-40% cpu)

Sometimes cpu usage go to 100%.... and uTorrent take 50-60% cpu

This happen about 1-3 second

but 4 times in a day

speed graph is normal. disk cache also normal

I think this is not a serious problem and I'm not sure this is bug.

But not happen in build 462

Now problem sloved !! It's windows firewall. (firewall "off" is not enough)

After Install Extenal Firewall and disable winXP SP2 firewall forever

go to Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services -> Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)

Stop process and change status type to "Disable"

After run 3 hours (WinXP firewall Disable), I found that problem are still (Yes, uTorrent still use CPU 100%) But less frequencies

To summary : Sometimes uTorrent try to update DHT, It use 100% CPU for 1-2 sec and drop CPU% and I don't know how to fix (I need DHT).

and "net.low_cpu = true" not help

Firewall? Lousy NIC drivers?

I use Jetico Firewall, No Norton's sofeware, no nvdia, Green light with port forwarded

NIC=Network Card? Mine is Lan on board (ASUSA7V8X-X)

This picture with no firewall load(Jetico), no antivirus load (kaspersky KAV 6) and the peak are from uTorrent 1.6 RC1 , Sure Disable winXP firewall service.

I try with utorrent 1.5 and same problem with any utorrent 1.5.1b

Often with high seed+peer+hashfail torrent (Like uTorrent try to connect to......and try again)

....when torrent finish CPU graph are smooth.

Let me try seeding only.

Did you deinstall Jetico all together? Turning a firewall off is sometimes not enough.

kraijeck, i just noticed that ur System cache is too high.. perhaps u have the same system cache problem that i do.. at least there are other people with the same problem.. it may stimulate ludde to work even harder on solving it

Weird. Delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old, move up to 1.6, and try again?

OK. I think I can find the cause of problem (Not sure)

After use uTorrent 1.6 (delete settings.dat,settinds.dat.old) now no list at all.

when setting complete, Downloading are good with no 100% CPU usage (try with 3 highspeed torrent)

but after add 157GB torrent....yes 157GB (~40000 x 4MB pieces : 2mb .torrent file) problem come back
