SL83 Posted June 26, 2006 Report Share Posted June 26, 2006 Static DHCP is an option that allows you to keep everything set to automatically assign, however, you can specify some computers to always get a certain IP address. Basically, it's making sure that you will always (automatically) get the same IP address. This is useful for port forwarding.I'd like to take a look at your router settings and windows TCP/IP settings. Perhaps something is misconfigured. You can provide screenshots of each, or we can even try doing remote assistance.
