dlf
No idea why but Torrent just won't open. I have rebooted. Before and after the reboot it won't open. Before the boot; I just closed it and tried to get back in. Wouldn't.
Ultima
Delete resume.dat and settings.dat in your %appdata%utorrent folder and try again. BEWARE: If you were downloading/uploading anything, deleting the files will remove all tasks.
Andrew
I have the same problem. Does this mean 4G of downloads has gone to waste :x This is my first download with utorrent and this is not a very good first impression :!:
Firon
You won't lose more than a few MBs of data at most by removing those .dat filesThe bug is supposed to be fixed in 1.1.7 (which isn't out yet)
Jonnybrx
I have the Same problem when my resume.dat file is too big. When its at 4-8kb utorrent loads fine. But when I add 10 files for it to have in memory, The resume.dat file becomes 16kb and the next time I load utorrent it loads the process but not the program. I think there is a bug with the way the resume file works or the way utorrent accesses it.When I delete the 16kb resume.dat, utorrent works fine again. Svegan
I have the same problem. Does this mean 4G of downloads has gone to waste :x This is my first download with utorrent and this is not a very good first impression :!:Simply redownload the torrent file, or open the one on the hard drive, and it will start seeding or downloading again. It just cleans the task list, but does not kill the torrent files that are saved to the hard drive.
chaosblade
Exactly, No need to delete your settings file, only the resume data one.
