BlockABoots Posted March 20, 2015 Report Posted March 20, 2015 I have a Western Digital Elements 2TB USB3 storage device which has all my retro gaming stuff on (some torrents are large, 50GB etc) and have been noticing that whenever i startup uTorrent it always has the 'not responding' message at the top of the utorrent window and no torrents are listed in the list at all. As soon as i unplug my USB drive then utorrent starts responding and all my torrents appear in the list, im using the latest version of uTorrent and am on Windows 8.1 x64. Any ideas why this is happening??
DreadWingKnight Posted March 20, 2015 Report Posted March 20, 2015 Chances are you're waiting for the drive to come out of sleep mode. How long have you tried waiting after launching uTorrent?
BlockABoots Posted March 22, 2015 Author Report Posted March 22, 2015 Usually about 5 minutes and then i have to terminated the program as it wont close down via the 'X'. Only takes a few seconds for it to come out of sleep usually. Have had to go back to version 2.2.1 and dont have any issues with that at all!, this program has seemed to have gone down hill ever since version 2.2.1
