Help! Received an Email from my service provider about downloading copyright material

Ignore it. It sounds like trolling. Your IP address proves nothing. Acknowledging it could be seen as an admission of guilt.

 

In future, be careful of what you download.

The part I don't get here this isn't coming from your ISP but from a law firm in California. Since when is the USA the Law of Canada? Sounds like they are trolling to scare you to pay. Now if the warning came from your ISP that's a different story.
