__whoosh
Hi, I recently changed DSL services to Verizon. I have a Westell 6100 modem/router. My downloads are extreeeeemely slow.I have a yellow ball in the status bar and I can't seem to make it go away. I've port forwarded to the best of my ability, but I could only make uTorrent 'dynamic' and not 'host' -- making it 'host' wasn't covered on www.portforward.com.I'm using Windows XP, firewall disabled. My upload/download speeds are 713/126.My max download speeds used to be 160 kB/s before the switch ... now what happened?

__whoosh
I read that -- my max number of connections is under 200, so it shouldn't be the problem, right?
Firon
Not necessarily. This is system-wide connections, and even after a connection is closed it's still open for a while, so you can go over 200. Other programs will open connections, and if there's more users on the same router, same thing. I suggest you keep it below 100, turn off DHT too. Or get a better router.
