johanna428
I'm currently living in Beijing, China. Ever since I've lived here, I can't get any torrent download to start working: they just hang at "Connecting to Peers". I was using StrongVPN before, though, and once I connected to the VPN the downloads would start and be pretty quick (usually between 300kbs and 1MBps). I've since switched to ExpressVPN and now the downloads are very slow. I'm wondering first if there's a way to get the downloads to start working without having to use the VPN, and if not, what I can do to speed up the downloads while using Express VPN. I've switched to PPTP VPN mode on Express (which is what I was using on StrongVPN) and they haven't gotten any faster, hovering at around 70kbps (I've tried several different files). My ISP speedtest comes in at 2.8MBps. Also, it is not on the list of Bad ISPs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
DreadWingKnight
Not a lot we can do about vpn throttling. You're going to have to ask them.
