µtorrent-Guest Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 µtorrent is technically not in the ability to produce a BSOD (blue screen of death) (afaik)only kernel mode drivers like graficcardstuff for example or firewall drivers(!) can cause this.check the "incompatible software" section in the FAQ, read the stickes and make sure on your machine in no software running that cause the BSOD. It is not µT that causes this behavour
seb100 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 hi thank you for answered me.but i need to ask u one more thing how can you explain that it's only happen when utorrent work.
DreadWingKnight Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Most likely because your firewall software or the drivers for your modem/network card are junk.
seb100 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 not possiblebtw i'm using now utorrnet 1.4 and it's work fine.

seb100 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 thank you Ultima but it's very hard to understand this article i hate computers
Klaus_1250 Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Could be that your HD is dieing on you, at least, that was what happened to me when it started popping up. Can you read out your HD's SMART data? (though speedfan or something alike). Do the events logs note serious errors in relation to your HD?
seb100 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 hi klaus i scanned my hd with speedfan and this is the results looks very good to meRaw Read Error Rate 88 47015596........... Very good Spin Up Time 97 0................................... Normal Start/Stop Count 100 511......................... Very good Reallocated Sector Count 99 44................. Very good Seek Error Rate 84 1 4305 22093.............. Very good Power On Hours Count 83 15192............... Good Spin Retry Count 100 0............................. Very good Power Cycle Count 98 2409....................... Good Current Pending Sector 100 0.................... Very good Offline Uncorrectable Sector Count 100 0.... Very good Ultra DMA CRC Error Rate 200 0..................Very good
Ultima Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 This issue can occur if a requested page of kernel data could not be read from the paging file into memory, or the master boot record is infected with a virus. Are you sure your comptuer's clean?
Klaus_1250 Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 The output looks to be OK, though I'm not sure about these:Raw Read Error Rate 88 47015596........... Very goodSeek Error Rate 84 1 4305 22093.............. Very goodSpeedfan still needs some work in understanding SMART-output. In my case, those value's are 200 and they are deemed only good, while in fact, those are perfect (200 = 0 Raw in my case). What brand and model HD do you have? If those latter values are RAW and start at 0 being perfect, I would say there is an issue pointing to head positioning (though perhaps not related to your problem).Have you look in your event logs (Start --> Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer) and seen any red crosses with Error besides them (mainly in the System section)?
seb100 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Report Posted June 25, 2006 thanks very much guys i appreciate your helpUltima i already scanned my hd with panda online he don't find any virusklaus my hd is 7 years old (-: very antiquei get a lot of this error in event viewer (system) AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0xcfc), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.
Klaus_1250 Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Hmm, sounds serious. Well, if your HD is 7 year old, those figures are understandable. Still pretty good actually. You might want to try checkdsk to see if it finds any more bad blocks. One thing you can try is updating the BIOS (don't do it from Windows, but DOS), but, thats just a lucky shot. Can you post your complete hardware configuration and all installed software? An "easy" fix would be to disable ACPI all together and/or switch PnP settings in the BIOS.Do you get the error only when using uTorrent? Or do you get them since you installed uTorrent?
seb100 Posted June 26, 2006 Author Report Posted June 26, 2006 thank you klaus i'll try first to update my bios driver.and mayby i instell the xp as standart pc.i hope that it solve the problem
Klaus_1250 Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 As always, be carefull about updating the BIOS.Second, installing the PC as standard PC may not be the best sollution (depends on how much you use ACPI). Could also be just a drivers/hardware issue or specific program.
