3.3.1.30003 Partfile

not being deleted on job removal.

I cannot confirm. It works fine for me.

µTorrent 3.3.1.30003 with clear settings.dat on Win7 32bit.

Tested situations:

- ubuntu torrent loaded via rss feed ubuntu.xml and AppendixA_04_02.html

- with and w/o .!ut Append_ut_to_incomplete_files

- with and w/o Trash Remove.Move_to_trash_if_possible

- by clicking Remove on Toolbar Remove_and_delete_torrent_Data

- by pressing Delete key AppendixB_05.html

- removed in torrent state Downloading Status.Downloading

- removed in torrent state Stopped Status.Stopped

- combination of all above

Tested situations:

What files that were skipped from the jobs?

And was diskio.use_partfile set to true?

For the testing?

1. clear "settings.dat" = 0 bytes = uTorrent default

2. utorrent.exe was placed in %appdata%\uTorrent

3. "diskio.use_partfile" is true by default

4. multi file torrent added as magnet from public tracker (not ubuntu as I erroneously wrote)

5. opens add torrent dialog, default folder Downloads, checked create subfolder

6. torrent contains 2 folder and some files, unchecked one of folders, OK

7. in download folder I can see one file ~uTorrentPartFile_357A276.dat

8. if I remove job (doesn't matter downloading / stopped / seeding state) whole subfolder will be removed (to trash or permanently)

What exactly not be deleted? Only partfile in Subfolder?

And the value for default_del_action setting is?

OR what action for 'Remove' did you select?

You have missed out the 'Finished' status , testing does require a COMPLETE analysis of conditions.

Anyhow, the job can be in 'Downloading', 'Seeding', 'Finished' (seeding goal reached) or 'Stopped' status.

This behaviour is the same in build 30003 and 30017. (I can go back much further should any wish to determine what version and build this started)

Partfile.dat remains after Remove or Remove and delete .torrent actions are done

Removing job, torrent and data or job and data OBVIOUSLY removes the entire subfolder.

Yeah, I'm definitely confirming what you're seeing.

Windows 7 x64 pro with all updates

And for what it's worth, I just tried downloading something with a completely fresh settings.dat (deleted settings.dat, opened uTorrent, didn't change a single setting, downloading a single file in a multi-file torrent, completed the download, removed the torrent from uTorrent), and then partfile remained. So it doesn't appear that this is a settings bug.

This bug still exists in 3.3.2 30180.

I have the same problem with 3.4.1 build 30888. Is there any solution? It's really annoying...
