turkleton
This website describes a solution for slow downloads on Vista by setting the net.bind_ip parameter in uTorrent. I had the same problem and it fixed it for me. Hope this helps you if you have a similar problem.
siggit
I upgraded to Vista (brave, but it is necessary for my job, computer engineer!)My torrents downloaded at aboyt 10kb/s (I am using a 10Mbit Cable modem connection). Not very happy, went to the page above, changed the settings, and got my torrents to 350kb/s. Still not what I used to get with XP. So I decided to disable IP6 (so far everything I am using runs well on IP4) and disabled QoS Packet crap, and all of a sudden my torrents stream into my house at 1.2 MByte per second. Just what I used to get with XP (10Mbit / 8 = 1.25Mbyte per second, so I am close to my max!)Noy sure how IP6 and QoS can upset my torrents, but as it helped me it might help you too!! Set the net.outgoing_ip option to the IP address of the adapter you wish to use for outgoing connections.

DreadWingKnight
No. You can't bind to an IP address not DIRECTLY assigned to your computer.
