Good news for µtorrent?

on this specific tracker, µtorrent got some bad publicity...

I hope that will change now that they found Bitcomet as the main cause of all the ghost torrents.

(µtorrent was considered responsible for the ghost torrents up to now)

And the funniest part was that we told them it was BitComet from the start, but they didn't believe us...

I am glad they aren't blaming µTorrent, though.

This just proves that it's not always the new clients, check the old for problems also.

This is a positive sign for sure...happy to hear that they still haven't given up on µTorrent.

So in order to make the switch from BitComet to uTorrent as smooth as possible please add the file selection dialog when you add a new torrent in uTorrent as is default on BitComet.

Just use started torrents stopped and select 'em on the files tab. There, virtually the same.

Well said and really a few of the more desirable 'features' of the other clients can be done in µT, just a different approach is all, at this stage any and everything I want/need to do with a torrent I can do in µT and am completely switched over now. No more Comet and no more Phrogg.

Probably because it was mentioned in this thread, which, with high probability, means that that person knows how to set it.

Bitcomet doesn't have any peer faking at all.

Being able to change your User Agent field is peer faking. It's a confirmed fact that BitComet can do this, so you might not have the latest version of BitComet. (Aren't you glad µTorrent updates for you?)

True. μT was banned, I think it's still banned, but at least now, they are willing to run further tests cause apparently BC was primarily responsible for the ghost peers.

Currently µtorrent is still banned on TBK.

Does anyone know what's going on with their testing? are they involving the µtorrent devs in the tests?

I doubt that the µT devs are involved.

That's bad news. They'll have a harder time testing µtorrent w/o the involvement of the devs, which will lead to a longer ban than necessary.

They were never interested in working with anyone from here.
