Sisq0
In Command Prompt.. if you want to convert drive with letter D u write: convert d: /FS:ntfsNo data loss, convert will be scheduled for the next restart.
Inf
But remember that there is no easy way back.
ozaman
Correct me if I'm wrong but ntfs is great for encrypting and such in win xp, but When I run diagnostics on my drives my fat32 partitions (p2p traffic drive) have faster data read write times, vs NTFS. Miffo
No, you wont see any difference. No reason to use fat if you have a good OS.

dAbReAkA
fat32 is faster.. tried different hard drive testing programs and i can read from my fat32 partition at about 55 mb/s compared to 30-35 mb/s for my ntfs partition.. DWK didn't knew that NTFS was introduced earlier than fat32ofc when it doesn't come to speed ntfs is a lot better than fat32
Firon
my NTFS partition reads at a around 50MB/s, but that's 'cause it's not ultra fragmented. And yes, NTFS was introduced with NT 3.1, though there've been several revisions of NTFS. NTFS5 is the latest one (and the one we're using)
