EmperorYogi
uTorrent keeps wanting to check through all the torrents I'm downloading. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but it's been going extra slow....on my 20+gig torrents it takes more than 2 hours. I have a good processor and lots of RAM....their usages are both very low when I run uTorrent anyways. These checks happen every time I open uTorrent now. This didnt' happen before I started downloading torrents straight to my external hard drive. How do I fix this problem, or stop utorrent from constantly checking? DreadWingKnight
You figure out what's preventing uTorrent from saving its resume state, AND you make sure that your external is active before launching uTorrent.
EmperorYogi
My external drive is always on. What could be preventing uTorrent from saving its resume state? One difference I have noticed when I moved BT to my external hard drive is that my .torrent files are now saved in my torrents folder, whereas before I don't know where they were saved. Could this have anything to do with it?
Firon
Try turning on bt.graceful_shutdown.
EmperorYogi
Looks like that did the trick. Thanks Firon!
