jamie.d123 Posted January 5, 2010 Report Share Posted January 5, 2010 could someone please help, i am getting the red icon saying firewall/router is limiting your network traffic, i am using utorrent 1.8.5 and connected using a usb wireless adapter, i have tried following these steps for forwarding my port to my bthomehub 2 http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/BT/BTHomeHub2/Utorrent.htm But im still getting the red icon and when i test if the port is forwarded properly it still says the port is closed, im gettin speeds of 15kb/s on average but on the odd occasion say late at night it will go up again to 300kb/s but only on the odd occasion. Switeck Posted January 6, 2010 Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 Your ISP does not wish you well when you use BitTorrent!They throttle almost all the time, only reducing the throttling sometimes in the wee hours of the morning.Your modem may also be a mini-router that needs configuring...(bridged mode is best!)
