Ultima
Some data you download belong to other files that you didn't select, since pieces don't divide perfectly between files. Because of that (and with the diskio.use_partfile option), µTorrent will dump the unwanted data into that partfile instead of creating the useless, unwanted file. You can remove it when you complete the torrent.

pretzel
Does this file contain my private information such as my passkey ?
moogly
The passkey is present in .torrent file. I dunno for partfile but it contains info about files.
Ultima
No, the partfile doesn't contain any information about the trackers. Its sole purpose is for storing partial/unwanted data -- nothing more, nothing less.
