torrero
What do we do with "special" domains like e.g. inter.net or o2.com?They are a bit tricky, because de.inter.net|DE , but ca.inter.net|CA or au.inter.net|AU.The flags.conf cant sort it out. Ultima
Thanks, but again, this list accepts .net and .com domains only.
Xemnarth
why? it can only be in this form.
Ultima
Because only .net and .com domains really need manual identification. µTorrent should already detect .net.ae as the TLD for the United Arab Emirates.
Xemnarth
TLD?I seeSome peers neither have a flag or a domain name, what does that mean and is it possible to figure out their countries?
Ultima
Top Level DomainIf the peer doesn't have a reverse DNS domain, then maybe you can try enabling peer.resolve_country (though that'll cause µTorrent to ignore flags.conf/flags.bmp). Xemnarth
uTorrent does show .net.ae but doesn't show the respective country flag even when "Resolve IPs" is turned on. However, when there are peers showing .net.jp for example, you can see their flag (Japan). What does that say? Firon
Lots of flags aren't included.
Xemnarth
are you going to add more flags in the upcoming release?
Firon
Could possibly be done. But we're not all that interested in adding more flags, really.
Ultima
flags.conf/flags.bmp should already contain the flag for AE.

torrero
its .gt or .sv, both republiques share the domain. its a bit tricky. like gt.tele... and sv.tele.... the flags are almost identical anyway ES is definately wrong, although telefonica moviles is the parent company, based in Spain.I used geotool and spent 20minutes just to check this out, even checked wikipedia ,lolwww.telefonica-ca.net points to guatemala, btw. edit: the IP in my torrent was 190.57.117.207 Edited May 23, 2008 by torrero

eng
Well I tried a few different Geo IP lookups and they all said www.telefonica-ca.net was SV, so that's what I'm going to put in the .conf.Updated .conf again
torrero
There is teliasonera.com in flags.conf with Austria (AT). Isnt it Sweden or Finland?
eng
They're another one of the multiple country ISPs. So the answer to your questions is yes ... to both countries I'm going to change it to SE, but only because that's where the group headquarters is and that's where www.teliasonera.com resolves to. Either way it's going to be wrong for some hosts, especially if you live in one of the other countries that they service.
