celestion
A GUI snapshot:Shouldn't sky.com have a UK flag (Union Jack), I thought it was on .conf already? This is, presumably, British satelite TV company Sky, who do broadband packages. I think as9105.com could be a UK flag as well, only they use 'as' then several different sets of four numbers in suffix Edited April 18, 2010 by celestion

celestion
to add to post #1308: .conf doesn't seem to be working either on 2.1 A or the main 2.0.1 release at time of posting, it's not saving in its usual format???
moogly
Save .conf and .bmp from http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=16216#p16216 in the folder %appdata%\utorrent and reboot µT.
celestion
@ moogly (post #1312)Did you try doing that yourself? It's not working. I'm using Windows XP, BTW(i.e. saving .conf and flags.bmp in c: > documents and settings > user > application data > utorrent, then loading it in uT using ctrl + shift + R, or rebooting)
moogly
peer.resolve_country: Enabling this option tells µTorrent to use an Internet database of IP addresses (a DNSBL) to determine a peer's country. Even if the settings directory contains flags.conf and flags.bmp, this option will take precedence, and the internal flag images will be used instead.Verify you didn't enable this option in Advanced preferences. celestion
@moogly - snapshot of my prefs: nothing was changed from the defaults. If you open .conf (at the moment) with notepad, it doesn't come up line by line like it usually does, it may have been saved accidentally in a different format, ANSI / Unicode or what ever. Nothing which shouldn't easily be put right
schnurlos
@celestion: perhaps you saved the .conf-file wrong.Try to download this file: http://www.should.keepfree.de/flags_by_eng.zip (based on eng's list from 2010-04-06)How to use / Description: http://www.should.keepfree.de/Readme_FLAGS.html

celestion
Can you guys explain how you download and install .conf? Up until now I've been right clicking on the link on page one, then choosing "save target as" to uTs app data folder. This month I've been getting small boxes where the new line/return stroke should be in .conf. Funny as I've downloaded it many times for 2 years without this problem. But, I left click on the page 1 .conf link and it brings a web page with conf showing normally, no small boxes. I don't understand it.Here's one I saw a few months ago:warnetcz.net|CZhttp://www.whois.net/whois/warnetcz.net

schnurlos
Of course, if you have the settings.dat in the same folder as your utorrent.exe file, the &appdata& folder is useless. In this case you have also to put the flags.conf and flags.bmp there.EDIT:klingerkg.com|AT*************************abbnebraska.com|US Edited April 30, 2010 by schnurlos
