ekol
Hi. uTorrent has always worked perfectly for me, and it worked perfectly on my new computer as well until now. The problem seems to be firewall/router-related, mainly because i can't think of an explanation.I have windows 7 professional, latest utorrent, billion bipack 5200GR3 router, windows firewall and windows essentials antivirus. Now i'm downloading at 45 kb/s on a torrent with 10000/8000 s/l. Im used to downloading at about 1 Mb/s or more with that many seeders.I hope you can help me. PS. i tried downloading a torrent with vuze and had similar problems so i don't really think it's a utorrent problem...

sideshowstanley
Thank you! I got a new machine and the default was 50. I had 5 downloads of 2-5 GB a peice, each in single MBS with ETA's stretching into the weeks. Popping in 500 gave me triple digit MBS (1 was over 1000) and all will be done within the next few hours. Why would the default be so low? And thanks again for this advice - and for google for finding it up top in the list of results!!!
