I could've sworn it said checking while checking At any rate, if it's doing that every time you exit, then make sure you're using 1.7, and enable bt.graceful_shutdown in Preferences > Advanced. Be warned that it might take a longer time for µTorrent to fully exit, and you're gonna have to wait for it to fully disappear from the process list in Task Manager.
