You can try going to your desktop toolbarat the bottom of the screen, navigate to the icon that shows how you connect, click on it and it shouldshow you connected to your usual connection AND your VPN. If you still can't find it I suggest you contact your VPN provider. You want to make absolutely, 100% sure you are connected before starting your downloads because, sooner or later you WILL be caughtby your ISP if you are not!
