µTP was designed in secret, with no input from either the congestion control or the BitTorrent communities

*shrug* Not really that much of a secret when it's had an IETF working group heading up the standardization effort since early on, consisting of more than just BitTorrent employees.

As far as the technical concerns go, I can't say I'd be able to respond, but if you're looking for feedback, maybe the LEDBAT mailing list might also be a fair place to present your worries.

...which only deals with the congestion control algorithm, not the µTP protocol itself.  Note that all but one of my concerns are about µTP, not Ledbat.
