No, this is not about a BT client, it's moreover about money. And I don't know anything about those conpiracies, I simply referenced an accurate documentary about money and its social and psychological implications. The film is a bit arty though. Also, you are 'spared' by default as you don't need to click and watch. It's not being forced upon you, unlike the conduit engine.

Hi Firstly I'd like to thank the Utorrent team for many years of service. Software, media and arts should be in the hands of the people, not the big companies. Utorrent has been at the heart of this major movement providing the needed momentum with a clean, free, lightweight piece of technology.The team here should be applauded for these efforts, and this cannot be overstated, many thanks. Obviously I uploaded the update yesterday and got dupped into installing the ad/mal/spy--ware. (It also seems that some of this dodgy code is installed even if that third box is unchecked.) Anyway, following the install I deactived the browser bar and removed the conduit engine and bar using 'add or remove programs' in WinXP. From that point onward firefox stopped working, and the only thing that would connect to the internet is Utorrent (which by the way now writes itself into startup (almost impossible to remove even with my startup manager). Figure this: Utorrent was uploading and downloading even though I had no active torrent files, and at the same time no other software would connect to the internet. So I backup all my files. And use the laptop's recovery feature, then reinstall all my software. And there I was four hours later, time for bed. I do understand the need for money. And to be honest if you'd instead done a donation scheme or something I probably wouldn't have donated, being a bit low on cash lately. However, many would have I think. This move for money/profit stands for everything Utorrent isn't. Anyone reading needs to watch Zeitgeist Addendum ( ) and any lecture by Jaque Fresco (e.g. http://vimeo.com/7866864) to understand this age old thing called Money!
