The ad on the bottom left corner is what I was talking about. Turns out it's the one causing the pop up, as mentioned in the thread linked by ciaobaby. Turning off the setting mentioned below fixed the issue. I didn't have to change anything else. Thanks

Hmm. Wasn't in the featured content category, I never go there. But I guess it's the way the ads are delivered and it's triggering that notice. When I get the pop up, there is no ad at the bottom left, the ad appears as soon as I close it or click OK. Rather annoying behavior, it's new on the latest version for me

Because Infernet Exploder is not set as default browser and you have not turned ALL the advertising off. I have IE10 set as the default browser and I still get this pop up. Is this an ad? Doesn't seem to act like one.
