  5. oh ..... now i can log on to this page. it wouldnt let me log on to this page only before. what the hell? yeah that sucks. so do i need a filter from the phone jack to the modem? d/l stopped today when i got a call today. i was on the phone in the other room that has no filter. and do you really want me to delete my only firewall. the windows one that i bypassed. i turned it off. really. i dont understand the confusion before. dont hold it against me. just a stupid error somewhere.
  6. do i really need to uninstall. i just tuened them off. even if they where on i have them set to allow these ports and programs to do what they want. i kind want to keep the windows firewall for when im not downloading i have mcafee virus scan and sheild and avast anti virus i deleted the ez trust firewall and are my speeds normal?
  7. there is a red dot in the center of the bottom tool bar and to the left of a box that says"DHT : 265 nodes." when i click on the red dot it says"not conectable. a firewall/router is limiting your network traffic. you need to open up a port so others can connect to you." my speeds tops are download(25kB/s) and uplaods(30kB/s) on a VERY popular torrent. but usually les than 10kbps. way less on a less popular one. like 2kbps tops my speed test finnished at downoad(335kbps) and upload(316kbps) with windows xp dsl hook up i port forwarded at 55667 on a westell versalink 327w modem/router. i disabled the firewall in the modem and the EZ and the windows firewalls. restarted many times. using sbcglobal dsl. im in the woods 3 miles from the nearest "switch" is what someone told me. i get the same red dot thing with Azureus also. ive only got one torrent going right now. (the popular one.) does the dot mean anything? should and can i get faster up and downloads from what ive told. ill put more info if anyone needs it to help me. ive just put here what i could think of for now. im not using the wireless part of the router/modem. thanx yall
