slimy
utorrent 1.16 is definitely faster. Yo-yo speeds are less evident but they are still there, at least for me. I can understand some peers disconnecting and utorrent reverting to 10kb/s or even 40kb/s less, but it is very annoying to see utorrent at 100kb/s and then decide that it would be nice to check out how it's like in the 30kb/s. Now this isn't an unpopular torrent, we are talking about 7(217) seeds and 177(7944) peers, no that's not a typo. And it's not as if many peers disconnect, during the slow-down... around 4-5 and it absolutely kills the d-l speed and remains down at the 30kb/s-40kb/s for quite a while. AFter maybe 10 minutes it starts the slow climb again. I've tried different settings, and I have seen utorrent speed up, but it still decides to drop back down every once in a while
paritybit
I don't think that uTorrent can force peers to send data to you... I am not sure but it is possible there are some fast peers and you have them send to you, then they choke you for a while.
slimy
yes but we're talking about 7000 peers to choose from, any other bt-client can easily max out my connection and stay there
paritybit
True, now to ask a silly question. Your max connections is set to a reasonable number right?
