houdini2394 Posted January 26, 2017 Report Share Posted January 26, 2017 I've loaded about 600 torrents into uTorrent v1.8.7 (42417) for my maxed out Mac Mini 2012 server with 16GB RAM (v10.12.2). My download directories reside on an attached NAS. I'm using PIA as a proxy. uTorrent churned through about half of these but it's gotten slower and slower to the point where it's unusable. The cursor is almost permanently a beach ball with a short interval every minute or so where the app becomes usable for a quick moment. All torrents are currently stopped. Any ideas as to what could be going on here? I can send along a sample process if it helps. Is uTorrent known for not dealing well with large amounts of data? When I quit uTorrent and start it up again it takes 20-25 minutes just for it to load up all of the torrents again (at which point it goes back to being basically unusable by constantly beach balling 95% of the time).
