The Red Army Posted September 29, 2006 Report Share Posted September 29, 2006 As a newbie, I've downloaded what I want, and I want to share it.But I get a little symbol telling me that I need to 'open a port'.I might be blind, but I can't see any help on the web site.I'm using Zone Alarm, which is set to allow utorrent full access, but I don't understand a lot of the things like port forwarding, and is it DHT? or any stuff like that.Can anybody help? In a software firewall, the process is called opening a port, not forwarding. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htmLook for your router make and model and follow the steps.
