Lose all my list of torrents when system crashes

If I ever needed to reboot in the past due to system problems then 9/10 on the reboot utorrent would start up again without having lost the list of torrents in the client. Occassionally I would get a message saying that uTorrent had not been able to do this and had restored the old list, cant remember the exact wording.

Now if i have this problem on a reboot uTorrent starts up fine but the client list is gone. I have to go to the folder where the .torrent files are and click on each one torestore them to the list.

Any ideas why it no longer restores the list, and if im faced with an empty list can I go into say %appdata% and restore from there or somewhere else. If so how?

Are you allowing µTorrent to exit gracefully (not ending the task abruptly)?

No, I dont always get the chance. i get locked into the server is busy/retry eror and have to reboot via switch on box as even task manager wont fireup.

In that case, it could lead to corruption of the resume.dat file, which µTorrent can't do anything about if it is terminated in the middle of writing to it.

Is it possible to say save resume.dat every morning. Then when im faced with nothing in the list I could use this saved file to restore my list.

Sure, but you'll have to do that yourself, or with some utility that automates it. Besides that, if you add a new torrent after you save during the day, it won't be in the resume.dat you saved that morning.
